Our trees still grow in Dehra
Ramblings of a lonely person were what most of the stories in this collection of Ruskin Bond were - the ubiquitous presence of loneliness was not exactly a spirit lifter with the kind of mood I am in. But read it anyway. The novella "A Flight of pigeons", also included in it, was some bit of diversion, even though not a strong one. It is the story of an Anglo-Indian girl and her mother, who had escaped the massacre of Europeans in Sahjahanpur during 1857 mutiny and did finally survive.
Nothing much to write about it right now - probably am not in a position to do justice to Ruskin Bond.
