Silence...
I had written this poem titled "Bahut Din Hue" which went as "Bahut Din Hue Kuchh Likha Nahin" (It has been long since I wrote something). Probably it fits the situation better now than when it was written.
Well, what to say about this silence now. Had been bogged down by Group work, which never seems to be something done by the group, but rather turns out to be something done for the group. I sometimes wonder - if all this MBA education which, everywhere, emphasizes group-work need not rethink the mode. You can force people into "group work", but unless group-ethics are there, what good the group work will do. When group work comes after all the personal academic and non-academic work in people's priority list, may God bless the concept. And it does badly need some blessing. There are several structural problems anyway. The size of the group is decided not by what kind of work it is and how many people are needed to manage it, but by the size of the class divided by the number of group the instructor thinks he/she can manage.
I can go on and on, but there is no point; probably shall be projecting myself as a moron. This is a problem not specific to IIML anyway. So, all this might not have mattered so much if the academics otherwise would have been satisfactory, if it were possible to look forward to some of the classes at least. You should have seen the faces of MBA students at IITK, when I told them that one of the questions in our OB exam was "to list and define the five personality factors of the five-factor model" and then you would realize why I feel so frustrated.
Have been sleeping for almost 18 hours after the classes got over yesterday. Don't know what was I trying to overcome by sleeping, when I wasn't really physically tired. Something, which has not been overcome even after that.
Too bad, blogger does not have that option of specifying mood like LiveJournal.
