City of Angels and Urvashi
Saw "City of Angels" yesterday (yeah, yeah, laggard with movies that I always am). Was immediately reminded of the Urvashi by Dinkar. The ideas are so similar in the two - celebrating human existence - human passion - human love which is not available to the angels or apsaras or Gods!!
And we get so attracted by the idea. Why? Do we try to justify our existence even with so many imperfections, with pains, with deceit, with corruption, with anxieties? Or do we actually believe that "angels"/"apsaras"/"Gods" are worse off than us? :-)
Wondering...
