A cobbler

If you ask me what is it that I find most difficult to find at a new place (particularly posh areas/big cities) - its a cobbler! Believe it or not - locating a cobbler's shop had been my greatest headache ever since I came to Lucknow. There are none in the campus. Kapoorthala (Non-Lucknowites don't be surprised, its just the name of a market) did not look like it would host one. But today it happened. After roaming around for more than half-an-hour, I found a cobbler near Pureniya Chauraha. Till I could locate him, I was confusing every small vehicle repair shop (and there are so many of them there) with a cobbler's shop. I, soon, almost finalized that its okay if you vehicle fails on Pureniya Chauraha; you would get some help and shall be able to move ahead, but not if your shoes/sandles betray you. But then, I found the treasure. This might look like an overdoing - but the rate at which I break my sandles - a cobbler's shop is something I can not possibly do without. At one point of time, in Kanpur, including all shoes, sandles and a pair of slippers, I had a dozen pairs of foot-wears and still there came an occasion, when I did not have a single suitable pair to wear.

A cobbler's shop is so big a necessity.
