Categories of Posts
Ok - now you can see the "Categories" for each of the posts. Using del.icio.us and the script I got here.
It's still a messy business, but something is better than nothing. Have not put the categories on all the posts. After I do that, shall give the list of categories in the side-bad. It should help in navigation. (Of course, I reserve the sole right to decide on what goes in which category :-D, but any suggestions for changes are welcome.)

Is there anyway to summarise the posts on the right side of the blog in different categories!

If you are using del.icio.us to link to your posts (as I am doing here), then just put the links of all the categories in your sidebar by modifying the template. There is no easier hack I know of :(
