Enigma

I am talking about personalities here. We sometimes come across people whom we can call nothing else but enigmatic. They baffle you, they defy logic and imaginations, they seem to go beyond human limitations, they are almost unearthly, they do what you can never conceive of, and yet they are humans. Yeah, those enigmatic personalities...

How do you feel about them? You may fall for them? You will do anything to get close to them, to "understand" them.

And what happens when you understand them, when the enigma does unfold?

They are like any other human being, they eat, drink, laugh, cry, socialize, feel weak and vulnerable, appear unsure of things, get confused about people and opinions, behave childish and talk non-sense. Probably the only reason they were enigmatic was the distance between them and yourself. Once the distance is gone, the enigma is gone. And now what would you want the proximity for?

You retreat, in the process seeing your dreams of something beyond human crumble, and probably hurting the enigma, which could have grown used to your awe - because it was a normal human being, after all.

Enigma, as it unfolds.

Pardon me for having a "second person" address in this post. It does not mean anything. Just the ramblings, which could have come out in any other way as likely as this one.

    humm.. reminds me of something
"Her hansi manzar se yaaron dooriyan kayam rakho,
chaand ger dharti pe utra, dekh ker der jaooge."

Nice sher But addresses the subject slightly differently. In it "Chaand" is still unearthly; only scary instead of being pleasant. I am talking about the earthly "chands" who are assumed to be "chands" simply because of presumptions or incomplete information!
