The network situation is hopeless right now here. Reason? No, its not a problem with any of the servers. The hostel network is chocked due to sasser worm and some other virus/worm. Several PCs are infected. Initially CC blocked the IPs creating problems. But following some misbehaviour by the students, they have limited their role to putting a list of troublesome IPs on the notice board. And now, they are not responsible for network condition :((

People are being asked to apply patches/upgrade etc. etc. But no end seems to be in sight :((

Fortunately CC is unaffected by this. But, but - gmail does not often open in CC (I don't know why!!). So, if anyone mails me, please send a copy to iiml id as well. The login name is same as gmail's and domain is iiml.ac.in.
